Dr. Jegadeesh Thampi is a distinguished thought leader in the pharmaceutical outsourcing industry, with over 20 years of experience building, scaling, and leading CRDMO businesses that support the advancement of novel therapies, globally. His expertise spans the entire drug development continuum - from late discovery through development and commercialization. He has contributed extensively to programs involving small molecules, therapeutic oligonucleotides, and antibody-drug conjugates, serving clients across human and animal health, crop protection, nutrition, specialty chemicals, and medical devices. 

A pioneer in India’s CRDMO landscape, Dr. Thampi played a pivotal role in establishing the CDMO market for novel chemical entities (NCEs) by developing high-performing teams, setting up world-class facilities, and implementing manufacturing systems that consistently exceeded global customer and regulatory expectations. His strategic and scientific leadership has enabled more than 200 drug development programs. 

His deep scientific and operational expertise encompasses process chemistry, process optimization, process engineering and safety, analytical R&D, technology transfer, and the scale-up and manufacturing of investigational APIs and novel chemical entities (NCEs). 

Among his notable achievements, Dr. Thampi led teams for successful pre-approval inspections (PAIs) by both the USFDA and PMDA (Japan) with zero observations, and was instrumental in pioneering the discovery, development, and scale-up of therapeutic oligonucleotides in India - a first for the region. 

He holds a Ph.D. (Tech) in Chemical Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT, formerly UDCT), Mumbai, and completed postdoctoral research at INP Toulouse, France. He further enhanced his leadership credentials with an Executive MBA (ePGDM) from IIM Kozhikode and entrepreneurship training at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  

In recognition of his contributions to the Indian chemical industry, he was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by ICT, Mumbai. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), London, in 2020, and in 2025, he was admitted as a Chartered Engineer (India) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers India (FIE). 

Dr. Thampi remains passionately committed to advancing science through collaborative innovation, operational excellence, and a deep sense of purpose in accelerating the journey of life-saving therapies from lab to market.

Dr. Sivaram Chintalapati is a seasoned scientist and business leader with over 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry, including more than a decade in the contract research and development (CRDMO) sector. He brings a rare combination of deep scientific expertise and strategic operational leadership to the role. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Chintalapati has led cross-functional teams across India, Asia Pacific, and Europe, delivering results in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals and biotechnology. His strengths are people development, global business development, P&L management, alliance and project management, and the design of operational excellence frameworks. 

He has been instrumental in setting up and scaling key CRO capabilities—establishing market presence for biologics discovery, leading the setup of DNA synthesis laboratories, and implementing project management systems that align scientific delivery with business goals. 

His technical foundation includes molecular biology, protein sciences, biochemistry, drug discovery, and CHO platform operations. He is a firm believer in collaborative leadership, known for building high-performing teams based on trust, capability development, and customer focus. 

Dr. Chintalapati holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the prestigious Max Planck Institute of Biophysics, Frankfurt, and has completed leadership certifications including the Crestcom Bullet Proof Manager program.
